As per the confirmation received from the DCA, following are the schedule of CoCubes assessment test and placement drives in Januray 2014,

Advice to the final year students:

1) Start preparing for CoCubes Pre-Assessment test. Practice Aptitude, Quantitative, Reasoning, English besides your technical knowledge. You will get sufficient time after your examinations, which are already over.

2) Brush-up your fundamentals. At-least go through the courses on EM, Structural Analysis, RCC, Steel, Survey, Fluid Mechanics, Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engg, Building Materials, Construction Scheduling

3) Also prepare your summer internship project, technical seminar topic. If you have enough hold on the work you have done during summers, you increase your chances of getting selected. Describing your technical seminar topic will impress the interviewer that you have knowledge beyond the books and classroom teaching.

4) The preparation would help you and increase your chances of getting selected in the drives being conducted in the future.

5) Appear in all the placement drive, even if it is of the software company, if you are eligible. The company must have thought of something before including civil engg in the eligibility.

6) Moreover, do not think, whether you should appear in the interview or not. Appear in all the interviews you get a chance to appear. Secure a job and then look for a change. 

Getting a job is tough, resigning is easier.
